Bir süre yeni yıla hiç girmemişiz gibi davranabilir miyiz? Mesela Şubat ayına kadar, hatta Mart'a kadar? Ben kendimi ancak toparlıyorum da...

52 haftalık kumaşa baskı projesine devam ediyorum. Kaplumbağa hızında ama istikrarlı bir biçimde.İlk defa bir projeyi tüm yıla yaydım ve yarıda bırakmadım. Arada başka başka şeylere de takıldım. Ama diğer yaptıklarım da bir şekilde bu projeye dahil oldular.

33.-34. hafta

Evde pancar turşusu hazırlarken suyundan biraz çalıp içine kumaş parçalarını yerleştirdim. Karışımda haşlanmış pancar suyu, sirke ve az miktarda sarımsak vardı:)

2 gün boyunca kumaşlar o suyun içinde beklediler.

Can we pretend that we are not in the new year for a while? Like until February or even March? I can barely put myself together...

I am continuing the 52 weeks of printmaking on fabric project. As fast as a tortoise but steadily. For the first time in my life i have done an annual project and did not quit in the middle. I have been sidetracked with other things on the way. But somehow these other things have found their way into this project, too.

week 33-34

When i was preparing beet pickles at home i reserved some of the liquid mixture and put the fabric pieces inside. The mixture was boiled beets, water, vinegar and a little bit of garlic :)

The fabric pieces laid there for 2 days.

Çıktıklarında çok hafif bir pembe renk olmuşlardı. Sabun ile yıkadım.

When i took them out they were a pale pink. I rinsed them with soap and water.

Solgun renk hoşuma gitmedi. Ben de üzerine baskı yapmaya karar verdim. Bu tüy damgayı Aralık ayında yaptım. Julie Balzer'ın düzenlediği her gün bir damga üretme etkinliği vardı, ben sonuçta 3 günde bir tane yapabildim :) Evdeki eski lastik panodan parçalar kullandım, yeni malzeme almadım. Bu damgayı da biraz keserek biraz da havya ile ısıtarak ürettim.

I did not like the pale color. I decided to stamp on it. I have done this feather stamp in December. Julie Balzer had a stamp carving everyday challenge in December. In the end i could do 1 in 3 days :) I used pieces of the rubber leftover panel at home, i did not buy any material new. I have cut the panel and shaped it with wood burning tool to produce this stamp.

Pancarlı denemenin diğer parçası üzerine de baskı yaptım. Bunun için evde bulunan bir anahtardan ilham aldım.
