52 haftada baskı yapmak 12. ve 13. Hafta / 52 weeks of printmaking Week 12 and 13

Bugün 12 ve 13. haftaların denemelerini yüklüyorum buraya. Böylece 52 haftalık kumaşa baskı projesinin dörtte birlik kısmını geride bırakmış oluyoruz. Başlarken nasıl devam eder, sürekli olur mu diye düşünmüştüm. Şimdilik eğlenceli ve heyecanlı gittiğini söyleyebilirim. Haftalık bir proje yapmak yerinde bir karar olmuş. Günlük olsa mümkün değil bu yoğunlukta yapamazdım. Aylık olsa heyecanımı kaybederdim, kesinlikle boşverirdim. Projenin adını kumaşa baskı koydum ama aslında kumaş boyama da var, kağıt üzerine baskı da var. İlerleyen haftalarda kumaş üzerine görsel aktarımını ve kendimce aplike yapmayı da deneyeceğim.

Today i am uploading the trials of 12th and 13rd weeks. Thus, we have made it to the first quarter of the 52 weeks of printmaking project. At the beginning i thought how i would make it, whether it would continue. Until now it has been fun and exciting. It was the right decision to do a weekly project. If it was daily i would not be able to do it in this busy schedule. If it was monthly i would lose my excitement, i would certainly skip the challenge. I named the project as printmaking on fabric but it includes painting/ dying fabric as well as printing on paper.In the coming weeks i will try image transfer on fabric and applique making in my own terms.

Soldaki damgayı çok önceden yapmıştım. Sağdakini ise bu hafta oydum. Yine evdeki eski lastik panoyu kullandım. Kabaca bir çiçek resmi çizdim ve çizgilerin üzerinden 0.5 mekanik kalemle geçtim. Yaprakların desenlerini de toplu iğne ucu ile oydum.

I made the left stamp a long time ago. I carved the right one last week. I used the old rubber panel at home again. I drew a rough flower shape and went over the lines with a 0.5 mechanical pencil. I did the leaf patterns with a pin.

I took last week's printed fabric and painted the frames orange.

Başka bir parçayı da blok turuncuya boyadım.

I painted another piece in block orange.

Sonra da damgaladım. Yine başarısız bir girişim oldu. Nedense kağıt üzerinde düzgün görünen desen kumaşa geçmiyor. Bir denemede alta havlu koydum. Bir denemede koymadım. Farklı oranlarda basınç ve boya uyguladım. Ama genel olarak bu damga olmadı. Desenin hatları üzerinden maket bıçağı ile tekrar gidip çizgileri derinleştireceğim. Bakalım olacak mı...
Belki daha iyi bir duruma gelir diye ilk denemenin üzerinden beyaz akrilik boya ve ince bir fırçayla geçtim.

Then i stamped. It was a failure again. I don't know why but the nice pattern that shows up on paper does not transfer well to fabric. Once i used a towel beneath the fabric piece. Once i did not. I applied different amounts of pressure and paint. But this stamp did not work. I will carve the outlines deeper again. Let's see if it will work.
In hopes of salvaging the first piece I went over with white acrylic and a fine brush.
